You belong here just as much as anyone else

Our North Star

The Social Capital Project was founded on a simple principle: everyone deserves a seat at the table.

The Social Capital Project aims to provide that very seat to women and underrepresented groups through deliberate organized opportunities, coaching, and support. We are an inclusive and welcoming space where ideas can be shared freely and expression knows no bounds. Together, we leverage our unique experiences to pave opportunities for advancement and drive true and meaningful change in our lives and communities.

Grounded in this mentality, our six founding partners came together to create an organization that advocates and advances women through networking, coaching, and fundraising. Our partners, with a depth and breadth of experience across industries, recognize the critical importance of social capital and how shared time, resources, and connectivity can result in influence and innovation at scale.

If you’re a woman looking to advance change in the world, we’re here to help you achieve your dreams.

So pull up a chair; we saved a seat just for you.

Meet the Founders

  • Michelle Bryant

    FOUNDER

“I love helping others succeed - especially those in underrepresented groups who lack resources and power. I aim to see people, to hear their voices, and to connect them with the resources and support they need. I want the people of the world to be more connected. And I believe that we all have more in common than not.”

  • Angela McArthur

    FOUNDER

“Ten years into my career I made the choice to leave my corporate job and founded my own tech consulting company. MudHen Chicks was a women run and staffed firm with a strong focus in data. This was a pivotal experience, deepening my belief that when women come together to support and advocate for one another we can achieve anything.”

  • Whitney Sharp

    FOUNDER

“I am passionate about women’s health and believe that every woman needs and deserves access to high-quality medical care. I want my patients to feel heard, supported, and cared for after every interaction, and this translates to how I approach my engagement with the community, as well as my friends and family.”

  • Devon Valencia

    FOUNDER

“If not this, then what is my purpose? I believe we are all connected. I believe we each have unique gifts to be used to change the world in big and small ways. I am deeply committed to advancing opportunities for women and children through education, social services, and community support.”

  • Lorena Markov

    FOUNDER

“I am the daughter of immigrants. They taught me that nothing is out of your reach if you are willing to put in hard work and have a support network. The American Dream is something that we all can have, and I would like to support other women in finding and realizing their dreams.”

  • Molly Stitsinger

    FOUNDER

“I love constitutional law and civil rights, and I am convinced that the dignity and humane treatment of all people are the foundations for building a better world. This belief is what motivates me each day to fight for and defend those unable to fight for themselves.”
